RETOLD

screenprint

As part of an ongoing project with William Arnold this body of work comes from a collection of stories, rumours and gossip that we continue to gather about Nancekuke Chemical Weapons Establishment. These oral histories have created a local contemporary mythology where factual and experiential understanding are scant.

Retold consists of a growing series of accounts printed on large sheets of newsprint paper. These are first typed, then digitally scanned and screen-printed at exactly the same scale as the original.
